Industry Insight, powered by NIC MAP, offers a comprehensive view of the seniors housing industry, providing key data and analytics to support stakeholders such as vendors, developers, operators, and more. Industry Insight includes our database of over 30,000 Seniors Housing & Care Buildings nationwide, as well as the Contacts and Operators associated with those locations.

By accessing detailed property, construction, contact, and operator information, users can make informed decisions regarding market strategies, development opportunities, and investments. This resource is designed to help stakeholders understand market dynamics, identify growth areas and potential partnerships, and monitor competitive landscapes within the seniors housing sector.

Buildings

The Buildings tab lists all properties that meet your filter criteria. Buildings in the Industry Insight can be segmented by the location, the number of units, the care segments that are present, or even the Operator of the property.

Properties can be viewed in list format or by where they appear on a map. The View Details button will take you to each location's Community Profile.

Construction

The Construction tab details a list of any AA/IL/AL/MC/NC properties that are under construction and meet your filter criteria. Properties in the Construction tab are sourced from Dodge Data & Analytics and BuildCentral. Each project is assigned a Stage to indicate how far the project has progressed, tracked from pre-planning until project completion. The Stages are defined when you hover over the information button in Construction Details. Properties under construction can also be viewed in list or map format.

Contacts

The Contacts tab includes all individuals related to the Buildings or Operators in the search results. Information includes position, email, phone number, and LinkedIn address (if available).

Contacts are filterable by Level and Functional Group. The Level filter allows you to sort contacts by their position in the organizational hierarchy, while the Functional Group filter represents areas of expertise.

Contacts are further filterable by Email Confidence Score. Our contact data partners provide a numerical score out of 100 to indicate the accuracy of the collected data. Contacts with scores above 85 are considered highly reliable.

Operators

The Operators tab displays a comprehensive list of operators related to the properties listed in the Buildings tab. This list can be filtered to a specific operator using the Operator Name Contains filter in Operator Details. Note that the Operator State is reflective or the corporate headquarters address of a particular operator (i.e. Brookdale Senior Living Inc. is based in Tennessee, but operates Buildings in 41 states).

How to Dig Into the Data

Each building, construction project, and operator record includes an option to View Details, which expands the record to provide more information than what is available on the search screen.

  • Building Details: Open Year, Operator, Owner Information, Unit Breakdowns, and Nearby Sales. For Healthcare Data subscribers, this will include additional tabs like Utilization and Clinical Characteristics.

  • Construction Details: Project start and end dates, project stage, project subclass, planned units, and ownership contact information.

  • Operator Details: Associated Contacts, a complete property list (with unit totals), and any transactions involving the operator.

How can I generate a comprehensive list of data in my geographical access?

To access the full list of properties within your subscription, click the Apply Filters button before making any changes to the filters.
